WHO IS A HACKER?
Hey guys, in this blog lets talk some interesting stuffs about hacking and hackers. This is my first blog, so please bare with my writings :)
Hope this blog will be beginner friendly.
Hacking
Let us first have a short introduction about hacking. Hacking is an attempt to exploit a computer system or a private network inside a computer. Simply say, it is the unauthorized access to or control over computer network security systems for some illicit purpose.
Hacker
Hope you have a little idea what is hacking. Now, let us discuss who is a hacker.
Hackers are persons who commit crimes or prevent crimes that damage a computer system.
“A hacker is also someone who uses the laws efficiently to find loopholes in a system or network”. But there is a common thought among some people that a hacker is someone who breaks the laws, but that’s a kind of myth. (By the way, the laws that we are talking about here is basically computer laws).
In other context, a hacker is basically a programmer who knows in and out of computers, and how a program works and how it is executed inside an CPU and so on. So, if you want to become a good hacker, then first you should become a better programmer.
Now here comes a question, why should someone hack into computers and networks? There are many reasons, but what are the main aim or motivation of hackers? The answer is that to steal information/data, money and to disrupt any services. But these are the aim/motivation of “black hat hackers” (unethical hackers).
Lets dive into the ethical hackers’ part, these hackers are hired by a company to hack into their computers and networks. Isn’t it crazy? They are called “white hat hackers”.
(If you don’t know what is black hat hackers and white hat hackers, then don’t worry I’ll be explaining those in detail in my next blog)
Yeah, that’s true. But this is for a good sake. They try to hack into a company’s network and computers to find the loopholes through which hackers can get into. And then this will be patched up by cybersecurity professionals.
That’s all for this blog. We’ll meet in another blog soon.
Happy hacking :)
